What are the Risk Management Circuit Breakers (R.M.C.B)?

The Risk Management Circuit Breakers are the full set of hard stop rules that apply across all phases of evaluation and during the live FTMO challenge. They exist to protect capital on every account at every stage.

The R.M.C.B applies throughout Phases 1, 2, and 3 and continues during the FTMO Evaluation, Confirmation, and Live funded stages.

The core principles are:

  • Every trade has a stop loss — no exceptions.
  • You do not exceed your chosen daily loss limit on any single trading day.
  • You monitor both the FPT and FTMO daily loss thresholds simultaneously.
  • You close all positions and notify management immediately if any limit is breached.
  • You do not risk more than $75–$150 per day on a $10,000 account in Normal and Aggressive modes.

Violation of the R.M.C.B during the live FTMO funded challenge results in immediate termination of the funded account.
